In the charming town center of San Andrés y Sauces, the popular Mercadillo del Agricultor y Artesano takes place every second Saturday of the month from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on the Plaza de Montserrat – directly in front of the impressive 16th-century church Nuestra Señora de Montserrat. The market offers a wonderful opportunity to buy fresh, local products directly from the producers. Here you will find seasonal fruit and vegetables, aromatic herbs, regional honey, homemade jams, artisan cheeses, and other fresh foods from the northeast of the island. In addition, skilled local producers present their unique handcrafted products – from ceramics and textiles to creative souvenirs that reflect the flair of the island. The market on the picturesque plaza, set against the historic backdrop of the church, attracts both locals and visitors and is an ideal place to discover regional products or find a special gift.
