About us

The Mercadillo Pueblo de Tazacorte is a lively farmers’ and artisan market that takes place once a month in the charming old town of Tazacorte. Traditionally, the stalls are set up on the third Saturday of each month at Plaza de San Miguel, opposite the town hall. From approximately 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., visitors can enjoy a colorful selection of local foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, handmade products, crafts, and regional specialties – perfect for buying authentic Canarian products directly from producers and enjoying the cozy atmosphere of the village. The market is popular not only with locals but is also a highlight for visitors who want to experience authentic island life. Especially in spring and summer, when many fresh fruits and vegetables are in harvest season, it is well worth a visit to discover local delicacies such as bananas, papayas, and avocados, as well as traditional handicrafts. The event is ideal for anyone looking for fresh, local products and lovingly made gifts, or simply wanting to combine a relaxed market visit with a holiday experience. Tazacorte itself captivates visitors with its traditional Canarian charm, historic squares, and its proximity to the island of La Palma’s beautiful coastline.
