About us
The Museo La Casa Roja in the charming town of Villa de Mazo is a cultural highlight in the historic center of the municipality. In the neoclassical manor house with its striking red façades, visitors can explore two fascinating exhibitions: On the ground floor, the Centro Divulgativo del Corpus Christi presents the history and significance of the important Corpus Christi celebration through documents, illustrations, and photographs. On the upper floor, the Museo del Bordado showcases an impressive collection of traditional Palmeran embroidery and exquisite handcrafted works that reflect the island’s rich artisanal heritage. The museum is considered a unique place to discover the cultural heritage of Mazo and the island of La Palma, and it regularly hosts special exhibitions and cultural events. It is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm – an ideal addition to any La Palma trip for culture and art enthusiasts.
