The Museo Arqueológico Benahoarita in Los Llanos de Aridane is the most important archaeological museum on the island of La Palma and is dedicated to the fascinating culture of the Benahoaritas, the original inhabitants of the island. In its modern exhibition rooms, everyday life, social structures, agriculture, craftsmanship, and belief systems of this pre-Hispanic culture are vividly presented. Visitors experience original artifacts, reconstructions of traditional dwellings, and informative displays on the development of the island’s history. The museum also offers temporary exhibitions, cultural events, and an area featuring handcrafted products, making it a central meeting point for culture enthusiasts and tourists. The Museo Arqueológico Benahoarita is open all year round from Monday to Saturday from 09:00 am to 7:30 pm.
