About us
Every first and third Sunday of the month, the Plaza La Alameda in Santa Cruz de La Palma, the capital of the island of La Palma, transforms into a lively large flea market (in Spanish: Rastro). From 9:00 am to around 2:00 pm, numerous stalls invite you to stroll, browse and discover – here you’ll find new and second-hand treasures, practical everyday items as well as curiosities, books, clothing, accessories and much more. Palmeran handicrafts are especially popular: local artisans present handmade products and unique pieces that are ideal as souvenirs or gifts. Food and drinks are also well taken care of – in addition to Canarian specialties and snacks, there is often homemade cake, local delicacies and refreshing beverages that make your visit a truly enjoyable experience. The Rastro of Santa Cruz de La Palma not only offers shopping fun, but also an authentic insight into the vibrant culture and island life of La Palma.
